To go with the new website and other extras, I decided to include writing updates. I don’t often post about my writing and where I am at with my current works in progress and thought it was time to do so.
I’ll start with Book 3 Servant of the gods trilogy Minotaur’s Lair. Good news for readers waiting for the final instalment of the trilogy, the story is in the final stages for proof-reading. Next step is cover design and if all goes well, the book will be ready for a June/July publication.
Book 2 Coin of Time series, is progressing well. I am over half way in completing the first draft. My outline for the story hasn’t gone the way I intended, the characters have taken over and introduced a new character that I hadn’t even factored into the plot. Lucky for them, I don’t always stick to the plan, but now I need to map out the role for this new character.
With Book 3 is almost complete, I’ll be able to resume writing the historical novel on Hypatia, but my focus over the next few months will be on Minotaur’s Lair. The concept for this trilogy started back in 2000 and has taken me twenty-two years to complete, with Book 1 Search for the Golden Serpent published in 2015. I’m not sure how I feel about finishing up with Evan, Alexina, Homer, Leander, Hektor, Dexion and Phameas, they have been an integral part of my life for so long. They have helped me through car accidents and been an beacon of light for my depression. If it wasn’t for their constant presence and drive to write their story, I’d still be reliant on medication. Writing restores the soul.
