The last two months zipped by. Not sure what happened and hard to believe we’re almost at the end of the year. September and October have been productive and the book launch for Minotaur’s Lair is fast approaching and I’ve still lots to do for the launch. I must admit, when I get home from work, I’ve no motivation to write or do much else. I am hoping the writing bug will return soon.
This is what I’ve done since August:
Personal Goals
- Home and work balance
- It has improved this term. I’ve cut back on the co-curricular activities and am staying back only one night a week, and I feel so much better. Not being stretched or pulled in different directions.
- Learn meditation
- Can you hear that? Yep, nothing there, a lot like my efforts to meditate.
- Fitness
- I hit a milestone last week. I’ve now hit the 450,000 steps. I’d be further ahead if I carried my phone with me when I teach! except I’m modelling not having my device with me while with students.
- Photography
- We took a drive to Serpentine Falls, about fifty minutes south of Perth. It was a little drizzly but a lovely day to walk amongst nature and take photos.

Professional Goals

- Writing
- I’m working on more promotions and additional competitions. Scary though, the launch is only 5 weeks away! When did that happen?
- You still have time to pre-order my book from Amazon or from my website. Take a screenshot of your receipt of purchase, email me at au***********@*****ok.com and you will go into the pool to win following goodies:
- Signed bookmark
- Deleted chapter
- Signed ARC
- Teaching
- Meh …
I thought this quote sums up the importance of letting go and enjoying life, something I need to work on.
Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.
Dr. Seuss
What do you do to change the way you experience the challenges life presents? Or do you jump right into the mix of life and see what happens? Look forward to your comments.
Take care and stay safe.
